DAMAGE ON REFRIGERATED GOODS

Air entering a refrigerated container

When transporting and storing refrigerated goods, damage to the goods often occurs. The reasons for this can be varied: failure of the cooling system, type of stowage or packaging, condition of the goods when taken over and many others.

We specialize in investigating the causes of such cooling damage to food and other refrigerated goods, determining the functionality of cooling systems and the associated peripherals and checking the optimal and actual storage/transport conditions. We have to evaluate existing temperature records from refrigerated containers, refrigerated trucks or cold storage facilities and interpret them taking into account the technical properties of the systems.

To determine the periods in which temperature changes to goods can occur, we use simulation tools we developed ourselves. Appropriate tools are also available for calculating the gas composition during cold storage (controlled atmosphere).

Our Experts draw up Expert opinion to cooling damage and consult Happy to help with problems. If necessary, they carry out their own Measurements through or evaluate existing measured values / operating data.
