Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition

Central control systems become more and more important in current building systems. They are the heart of the building – they control all processes and record all events. Therefore they are called Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Through visualization at a central control center the handling of processes is a lot easier. In case of malfunctions or disruptions, alarms are generated and can be easily associated to the problem. Because of the immense amount of measurement values, the interpretation of the data is not easy and can lead to misinterpretations by the operator of the facility. Only in rare cases an assessment of this data occurs.

Only through a systematic assessment of the SCADA data, dysfunctions like controller vibrations or operation of opposite components (heating- and cooling operation at the same time) can be detected.

A lot of data and parameters are stored by the SCADA system over time.

The Dr.-Ing. Yves Wild Ingenieurbüro GmbH is specialized in visualizing, analyzing and evaluating SCADA data of any kind. We are well experienced concerning the data transfer from the SCADA into appropriate analyzing tools, which often causes a lot of problems.
